He also thanked Councillor Margaret Morris, chairman of Radnor Shire and Carol Wynn of Wynn's Funfair for judging the competition and Michael Conway and his team for putting up the Christmas Lights. The next events in the pre Christmas calendar are next Tuesday Carols in the Community with Knighton Town Silver Band, Knighton Primary School Choir, members of Teme Spirits and Knighton Handbell Ringers at 7.30pm in Knighton Community Centre.

4k led display A fourth escape47 on 14 April 1871, occurred in company with two industrial school girls, Lucy AH KIN and Annie HOWARD, who are thought to have been temporarily isolated in the reformatory buildings.48 The three girls remained at large for a week living in a deserted hut on the Minmi Creek between Minmi and Teralba.49 They were concealed by three men, one of whom was identified as Thomas HAFEY.
Constable LEONARD of Wallsend Police arrested HAFEY and the three girls.50 On 20 April 1871, Annie and Mary Ann were charged with destroying Government property51 but at their subsequent appearance on 22 April, this charge was withdrawn. Annie was returned to the school and Mary Ann was immediately charged with absconding.
